CasaBlanca has lush valley views that are ever changing, starting with the magnificent sunrise. The calming view from the veranda is three mountain ranges one of which is Mt. Chirripo. It’s Costa Rica’s highest mountain range it has an elevation of 10,0000 ft. by mid morning the top of Mt. Chirripo is always covered in clouds. On rainy days you will often see waterfalls and beautiful rainbows on the mountains across the valley. | ||

You can start your day off with the sounds of chattering birds, ocean breezes and a cup of Costa Rican coffee (our favorite is Selecto) on our covered veranda. Enjoy breakfast while our resident house wren sings to you. The female was making a nest in the house rafters when we left in late April. When you are having breakfast add a banana or two in the small tree next to the orchid bush you will have birds visiting that tree all day long. You can pick up a two foot rack of bananas at one of the many fruit stands along the road to San Isidro for just 3 hundred colonies about .75 cents USA they are delicious. | ||

You could also visit the national parks of Hacienda Baru, Cano Island, Corcovado or Marino Ballena. Many day trips most are no more than 45 minutes away. You can sign up for many different trips in the town of Dominical. One trip you shouldn’t miss is Don Lulu’s. It’s a day long trip to the awe-inspiring Nuayuca Falls only ten minutes away. You could also just stay at the CasaBlanca and write the American novel while listen to the ocean waves breaking on the shore (your only a short 15 minute drive from the Beach of Domenical) and enjoying the wonderful sounds of the Costa Rican jungle. | ||

CasaBlanca is secluded, tranquil, fully furnished 1200 sq. ft. private home with all comforts of home. CasaBlanca sits at 1200 ft. elevation; at that elevation the insects are very few. Ocean breezes in the mornings and mountain breezes at night. No need for air conditioning. The CasaBlanca sits on two acres of park like surroundings. Tropical landscape, including many verities of heliconias, 18 ft. torch ginger, 30 ft. bamboo and mature trees that attract many types of birds and butterfly’s including the elusive morpho who visits throughout the day. | ||

The Sacropia tree especially attracts all kinds of wild bird life. They love the seeds and flowers, , we have seen toucans, fiery billed aracari, chestnut mandibled billed toucan, pale-billed woodpecker, fly catchers, blue tanagers , flocks of white headed parrots, parakeets, swifts and many ,many more……. | ||

CasaBlanca is ten minutes from the lively beach town of Dominical. You will find many dining places from tortilla Flat’s on playa Dominical. Suraza, a typical Tico restaurant and mini super market in the middle of town. In the Pueblo Del Rio you will find El Rincon, they serve Argentinian and Italian food. Pueblo Del Rio is at the entrance of Dominical where the river of the Baru River spills into the ocean. You can see the most incredible sunsets here. Pueblo Del Rio has an internet café, drug store, tourist info, fruit stand, surf shop, real estate office, natural food store and business services. |

After an exhilarating day in a lovely tropical land sit back on the huge veranda. Have your dinner catered if you desire or just sit back and watch the firefly’s flicker in and out of the tropical foliage, watch the far off lightning as you play a game of checkers. Hector will be watching he is our resident sticky frog who lives in the rafters and gets his meals from the porch light so please leave it on and have a wonderful vacation at the CasaBlanca. | ||
